Nicolas held financial markets and investment banking leadership roles at Westpac and UBS accumulating 15+ years across Australia, Europe, US and Asia. Seeing the void in Australia around technology-led international payments was what inspired him to co-found Flash Payments. He currently manages daily global operations, with a focus on business development and partner engagement.

Andrew has close to 25 years experience in the Financial Services sector, specifically in international payments, and has played a key role in scaling several successful fintech start-ups over the last 20 years, both in Australia and abroad. He has also acted as an investor in, and advisor to, numerous tech startups in Australia. As Chief Commercial Officer, Andrew is responsible for overseeing key revenue building initiatives and business streams such as sales, partnerships and marketing as well as driving overall commercial strategy to scale the Flash Payments business.

Vasyl is a forward-looking software engineer with a theoretical physics background who has extensive experience in helping start-ups scale their business successfully. Although his primary focus areas are team development and company growth, Vasyl is also a leading contributor to a number of popular open-source projects and is an active public speaker at industry meetups and conferences.

Kleio is a Greek qualified lawyer and a Luxembourg certified Compliance Officer with a rich background in compliance and AML policy writing, regulatory management and compliance monitoring across different financial institutions in Luxembourg . As the (EU) Head of Legal and Compliance her main focus is to navigate through the complex financial EU regulatory environment while enhancing operational efficiency of AML and Compliance workflows and contributing in Flash Payments growth in EU.

Stuart Crooks brings over 20 years of experience in financial markets, specializing in sales, product management, and strategic leadership. He has held prominant positions at OSTTRA, IHS Markit, Royal Bank of Scotland, Flextrade and UBS. Stuart excels in setting up and developing teams and businesses, with strong communication skills and extensive contacts in the global financial markets community. His expertise spans both start-ups and established firms, focusing on Foreign Exchange and Fixed Income products.

Paul Basson brings over 20 years of expertise in operational, compliance, risk, and governance roles. Most recently Paul acted as Senior Compliance Manager at ASX listed Novatti, focused on risk governance and anti-money laundering. Prior to this Paul spent 13 years as Chief Operations Officer for UK based World First, overseeing all operational aspects of the Australian business and responsible for a team of 15+ staff. Paul has also held senior risk and compliance roles at two other Fintech businesses in Australia.

Shanthi is an experienced risk, compliance and AML officer with vast experiences across many different financial institution in Australia and New Zealand. As a chief risk officer she is across all aspects of the business and the combination of an inquisitive nature as well as entrepreneur mindset at heart, is perfect for Flash Payments’s growth and keeping us across all regulatory and operational compliance aspects.

Kevin has over 25 years’ experience in Banking and Financial Markets with the majority of this experience gained whilst working at Westpac Banking Corporation. He has worked across General Banking, Technology, Compliance and more recently in the Foreign Exchange and Payments space. In his current role he manages a portfolio of Business and Corporate clients.

Emily is an experienced professional who has held financial market roles on trading floors in New York, London and Sydney specialising in global macro and foreign exchange. A successful commercial relationship-builder, Emily is Flash Payments’s primary European contact and is currently leading efforts to expand our client partnership opportunities in Europe.

Mansi has comprehensive experience of 12+ years in the finance industry having worked with global teams within Westpac Australia and JPMorgan Chase. She has worked across Compliance, Treasury Operations and Settlements. Besides handling the day-to-day payment operations of the business, she has a keen interest and a hands-on approach in the overall growth of the firm.

Anna has a background rooted in the world of startups, she brings a fresh perspective and innovative approach to the financial sector. Her expertise lay in crafting customer-centric solutions that bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and financial services. She is dedicated to optimising post-sales processes and ensuring that our clients achieve maximum value from our tailored solutions.

Pavlo has a strong technical background and over 20 years of diverse international experience in IT. In his role as Technical Product Manager Pavlo works in close liaison with our engineering, compliance, and executive teams to promote informed decision-making, facilitate successful delivery of Flash Payments solutions, and provide an exceptional experience to our customers.

Vadym is a technology enthusiast with 17+ years of experience in software engineering. His natural curiosity combined with a passion for technologies has led to solid experience with various technology stacks and software methodologies. Vadym has a great interest in the role that technology plays in society and its’ impact on everyday life. He hopes that together with Flash Payments he will be part of the team forming an innovative business and setting new standards.

Astrid is a highly experienced financial services lawyer with over 25 years experience at Baker McKenzie and KPMG Legal, and as General Counsel leading the legal and compliance function of a large international product issuer and fund manager.

Clients benefit from Astrid’s deep knowledge and understanding of financial services regulatory issues, as well as her appreciation of commercial drivers, enabling her to deliver practical, helpful solutions.

Astrid specialises in financial services, regulatory issues, funds, fund management, derivatives, structured financial products, FinTech and general corporate work.

Michael has over 20 years of international experience in the banking, financial services & technology industries, holding executive leadership roles at industry-leading organisations, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Sandstone Technology, Westpac, and Bendigo Bank. Recently, he was group CEO for Sandstone Technology, a global fintech which builds and licences digital banking platforms to banks across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the United Kingdom. In addition, Mic is an experienced company director and board advisor having served on boards / advisory committees for a number of financial services and technology companies.

Dilip Rao has over 40 years of experience with technology in banking and payment systems, most recently with Ripple Labs in New York, as Global Head of Infrastructure Innovation. He led business development and sales for Ripple across APAC and the Middle East. Dilip was also founder of the first person-to-person payments startup in Australia and has advised commercial financial institutions as well as central bankers and regulators.

Dilip holds degrees in Physics, Engineering and Business Administration and is currently based in Melbourne, Australia.

Rob Lederer is an angel investor and advisor with a portfolio spanning Australia, Israel, Canada and the USA. Having invested in over 40 start-ups, his experience is broad and covers a range of early-stage company sectors such as traveltech, fintech, online marketplaces, alternative proteins, AI, recruitment/gig-economy, BNPL, e-commerce logistics and proptech. In his former life Rob worked as a stockbroker before he founded a mortgage broking business which he subsequently sold. Following this he was an integral part of a family business for 14 years that became one of the largest food manufacturers in the Australia.
